Who we are

About Good Kin Foundation

At Good Kin Foundation, we believe that when communities are equipped with the right tools, knowledge, and support, they can break down barriers and build lasting resilience. As a Black-led, disability-affirming nonprofit, we’re transforming how Black communities, caregivers, and individuals with disabilities access digital literacy, care navigation, and financial empowerment. We design every program with care, accessibility, and lived experience at the center—meeting people where they are and walking alongside them toward lasting change.

Founded on lived experience and guided by the principle of dignity-first engagement, our work is rooted in community listening, cultural safety, and an unwavering belief in people’s right to thrive in a digital and care-driven world.

Our approach is simple but bold:

We meet people where they are, offering culturally relevant workshops, 1:1 coaching, and peer-led learning in trusted local spaces. We work alongside participants, not over them—empowering them to build confidence, navigate complex systems, and share their knowledge within their networks.

Good Kin is also the home of Ask Ena—our soon-to-launch, community-built digital tool that helps Black caregivers and individuals with disabilities navigate benefits, supports, and care services with dignity, ease, and trust.

Through our programs, participants gain more than skills—they build digital confidence, financial independence, and leadership capacity. From seniors learning to manage their retirement benefits online to caregivers becoming local tech champions, our work sparks ripple effects that strengthen families and communities from within.

Our team is made up of caregivers, individuals with disabilities, and seasoned facilitators with over 15 years of experience in accessibility training, community care, and digital inclusion. Together, we create spaces where care meets technology, and empowerment meets action.

At Good Kin, we aren’t just bridging digital gaps. We’re nurturing bold, community-rooted futures.
